Reviews

I stayed at Vajra Sheilin. A great spot for a solitary retreat. Lovely surroundings, quiet, and well-maintained. The community was straightforward to deal with and everything was as expected.

Lovely cabin and nicely managed - all very straightforward and simple The simplicity and thoughtfulness of the hut really supported ability to be present and focus. I really appreciated having time between the booking fee and donation as this made it more affordable to me. I absolutely loved my time at Vajra Sheilin and am very grateful for having been able to have the space to nourish, reflect, create - it really is special and beautiful. I really loved it, the cabin was cozy and well stocked. I felt very welcomed and felt safe and good during my solitary.

Vajra Sheilin

It's a wonderful place and has everything you need. I feel very fortunate to have stumbled on to finding Dhanakosa and the Bothy. It's an ideal spot to practice and gain some balance. The kitchen facilities at the Bothy were more than sufficient - well stocked with a good range of kitchen utensils for a four week solitary. It was well stocked for first aid and fuel for those cooler, damper evenings. Overall, my experience of a month long solitary felt enhanced, deepening and enriching, made possible by the landscape, weekly fresh food drops and set up by Dhanakosa. I felt a lot of gratitude for all that was doen in the background to create such conditions for going forth - thank you! The hut was better equipped than I had imagined. There are obviously things that could be done to smarten it up a bit if that was what was wanted, but everything worked well enough.
